Frieze Art Part II

When we ran away from Frieze Art Faire at the first time ( our head went round because of crowd), we decided that we’ll come back the day after.

So, there is not so much to say about second part of exhibitions, so I will just show works that I found interesting:

Frieze Art Part I

Me and my sister went for Frieze Art Fair for 2 different reasons. She needed to  find an Artist to bring him or her to event in Moscow ( it was her business trip to London) and I went there to found new names, inspiration and subjects for my blog. 

Narrative Workshop with David

Today we had narrative workshop. The main target of this lesson was understanding image editing (cropping, zooming and etc). Also, we did a task in which we've been changing image idea by different titles.

First of all, as a group we've been asked to create to crop images, we've been given, to make 9 styles:

Wide angle horizontal

Crop to enhance the emotional impact

'SNOB.' magazine again....

I've found  absolutely amazing advertisements made as collage. According to our last session with Darren, I found it very interesting. Collage can be not only exercise for inspirations but also a really good thing for magazine advertisement, not that poor pieces of clothes on the white layout.

“Hembakat är Bäst” (Homemade is Best)

IKEA made a new cook book. Nothing special, ha? However they made it without any text. Just images of components and final look of the dish.

I think everybody read about GAP scandal, if not check this link.
Well....What can I say...

 First of all, even I can see that 'new' logo is AWFUL. It is just...just AWFUL. 

Secondly, this is an absolutely crappy PR company to make consumers remember GAP brand. 

Crappy, because they didn't work good on it.  Second logo shows, that it had been made in 'paint' :) and it had been just a reason for 'something'.By 'something' I mean this article in Guardian and looooooong solutions about whether they should take new logo or no I am not sure that it will work. This fake actions shows that they have problems. I man problems with  PR company and Designers.

Anyway, I am not shopping at GAP because they have awful clothes' design last few years.
So, let's have a look what they will finish with.

People who drink vodka!

Very popular Russian magazine "Snob" which you can buy in big cities of the world (unfortunately it is in Russian language) made a new photo project "After First Shot". Traditionally, in Russia, you cannot eat something after first shot of vodka. So, you feel that awful smell, "hot" taste -fully.

 The main idea if this project is to photographing popular Russian  actors, writers, artists an so on after after first shot of vodka.
